Surprising stretch of coastline shaped by fire, the coastline close to Mount Etna volcano offers extraordinary views where nature blends spectacularly with archaeological and architectural treasures, evidence of the area's rich history. Its unparalleled symbol is, of course, Taormina, nestled on a natural terrace 200 m above sea level: a rare combination of history, sea and nature. North of Taormina, Letojanni is a renowned coastal resort. The town overlooks the gulf and enjoys a mild climate year-round and abundant sunshine that warms the beaches and makes the waters of the Ionian Sea sparkle. The beaches are a mix of fine sand and small pebbles and extend all the way to Taormina.

Thanks to the variety of the Sicilian cycling environment, it is possible to travel to Sicily as often as you like and have a completely different experience each time.

LET'S BEGIN WITH YOUR FIRST ONE!

Postcards from Letojanni

Cycle the volcano

Seven climbs, one unforgettable scenery

Do you fancy a bike ride to the highest active volcano in europe?
You can challenge the Etna from the Southern slope choosing between five climbs (Zafferana, Nicolosi, Pedara, Ragalna or Biancavilla) or choosing between the two climbs on the Northern slope (Linguaglossa or Fornazzo).

A ride you can't refuse!

Savoca, the village of the movie "The Godfather", filmed by Francis Ford Coppola

Riding in Sicily makes you discover lots of special places, like the lovely village of Savoca. Good for Francis Ford Coppola, is good for us too. So let's have a cappuccino break at this picturesque location from the Godfather movie. The Vitelli bar has remained unchanged since the seventies.

Cycle among the vineyards

A quiet ride with the Etna in the background

A relaxing ride through the vineyards of Mount Etna, the walls of lava stones, and the terraces where the grapes are cultivated before becoming a delicious Etna Wine.

What they tell about us

  • We rented two bikes for the week. Simone's been very helpful from the first contact, choosing the right bikes/configuration, proposing routes and different options in the area. The bikes are in great condition and we enjoyed riding them uphill as well as long distance. Communication was always quick, easy and friendly. We recommend Enjoy Cycling Sicily fully and enjoyed our rides around Letojanni.
  • We had a very pleasant experience with Enjoy Cycling Sicily on our recent trip to Taormina & Siracusa. Simon outfitted me with a fantastic road bike, delivering it to our hotel. He shared a bunch of routes & suggested places to visit. Halfway through our trip he picked us up in Taormina & transported us & the bike to Siracusa. At the end of the trip he picked up the bike. He gave us great recommendations of places to eat in Siracusa & helped us with arranging a taxi to the airport. I highly recommend Enjoy Cycling if you are planning a cycling trip in Sicily. Simon is a great host & very friendly to work with.
  • Enjoy Cycling Sicily’s website may not be inspiring but take note of the reviews! This is a holiday cyclists’ hidden gem. I’ve always found arranging a bicycle during a family holiday tricky but Simone made it a breeze. He was super flexible about pickup dates and the rental period. When I came to collect the bike he sorted me out with routes for my Garmin (as those I’d prepared weren’t the best) and made sure the bike was set up for me as I needed. I was staying nearby but I believe Simone delivers bikes all over the island. Either way, if you want to rent a road bike in Sicily I would 100% recommend you send him a message!
  • After I sent the information form, I had contact with Simone from Enjoy Cycling Sicily. He helped me with the Basso road bike setup and gave me several route tips. Made 2 nice rides, perfect bike. If you are in Sicily and you like to explore the area by bike, I can recommebd Enjoy Cycling Sicily !
  • I have rented bikes all over the place and it doesn’t get any better than this. I had not booked ahead but Simone got me a bike in excellent condition, fitted to my instructions and delivered to me within hours. He also provided gpx routes and suggestions for my bike trips as well as for the rest of the holiday. An outstanding service and can-do mentality. Highly recommended, would gladly come again.
