Surprising stretch of coastline shaped by fire, the coastline close to Mount Etna volcano offers extraordinary views where nature blends spectacularly with archaeological and architectural treasures, evidence of the area's rich history. Its unparalleled symbol is, of course, Taormina, nestled on a natural terrace 200 m above sea level: a rare combination of history, sea and nature. North of Taormina, Letojanni is a renowned coastal resort. The town overlooks the gulf and enjoys a mild climate year-round and abundant sunshine that warms the beaches and makes the waters of the Ionian Sea sparkle. The beaches are a mix of fine sand and small pebbles and extend all the way to Taormina.
Thanks to the variety of the Sicilian cycling environment, it is possible to travel to Sicily as often as you like and have a completely different experience each time.

Cycle the volcano
Do you fancy a bike ride to the highest active volcano in europe?
You can challenge the Etna from the Southern slope choosing between five climbs (Zafferana, Nicolosi, Pedara, Ragalna or Biancavilla) or choosing between the two climbs on the Northern slope (Linguaglossa or Fornazzo).
A ride you can't refuse!
Riding in Sicily makes you discover lots of special places, like the lovely village of Savoca. Good for Francis Ford Coppola, is good for us too. So let's have a cappuccino break at this picturesque location from the Godfather movie. The Vitelli bar has remained unchanged since the seventies.
Cycle among the vineyards
A relaxing ride through the vineyards of Mount Etna, the walls of lava stones, and the terraces where the grapes are cultivated before becoming a delicious Etna Wine.

Awesome local bike guide, checks all the boxes for any bike adventure around the island. Was looking for long term rental and not only is the bike top tier but Simone fitted my choice of pedals, sent me GPX files for routes to try, advice on water stations and local conditions, plus he even threw in two super cool water bottles he designed himself. He's also just a text or call away if I find myself stranded somewhere too which is great peace of mind while traveling solo.

We rented two bikes from Simone - an electric Basso and a standard Basso. Bikes were great, and Simone worked with us to get them delivered and picked up. I would absolutely rent from him again!

Everything went smoothly with Simone. From the initial communication to the bike return. Nothing is a problem for him, all can be solved :-) Bikes were well chosen and prepared, just for the Sicily conditions. We had the best bike rental experience ever! The bikes were amazing and Simone went above and beyond with his services. Everything was super smooth, from booking the bikes, delivery, payment, suggestion for rides (and breaks!), and pick up. The bikes were in excellent condition and supplied with essential accessory and tools and the price was very reasonable. Couldn't recommend enough!

The perfect experience. A great bike that ran flawlessly, delivered to our hotel on time. Tools, tubes, mini pump & CO2 in the saddle bag. Track pump, more tubes and a portable lock to go with the bike. Send Otto your saddle height and it will be set up for you. I recommend SMS or Whatsapp then communicating was super fast all the time. Much faster than email. If I am back in eastern Sicily I'll be sure to rent again from Otto my new friend. 10 out of 10 my new friend 👍👍👊👊
